Desire fulfilled

Last Monday I was driving to emanate, my church’s young adult service. Due to prior plans, I’d be arriving as it finished. So to keep in the loop, I listened to the service’s YouTube stream on the 20 minute drive over.

Michelle was speaking. She was encouraging the church to share our dreams with God. Because he's excited to partner with the desires of our heart.

No-shame prayer

When I used to pray, I told God what I thought he wanted to hear. Words of correct belief in contrast to circumstance. Truths of a higher reality despite present feelings.

I put my strength in correct beliefs. Church and school taught me what to believe in any and all circumstances. So come testing and trial, I reminded myself of truth. I’d use head knowledge to trump heart reality. [Keep reading]

Making ends meet

I have a strange joy in managing my money. For the past few years I’ve budgeted everything down to the penny, and it’s brought me a lot of peace. I know what’s going on. I have a plan.

Landed in Australia

Our team has arrived! After a testing 24 hours of travel, we landed two days ago. I took the first opportunity to put my feet in the Tasman Sea (part of the South Pacific). Between the last post and now, the trip was fully funded!! I’m incredibly thankful to every person who made this a reality. Thank you! So far it feels as if I died and went to paradise.
